Salmon & Trout Conservation is kicking off the year squashing the ‘no evidence of sea lice from salmon farming damaging wild salmon and sea trout populations’ excuse used frequently by Scottish Government.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the second week of January a report by experts in the field (Prof Eva B. Thorstad and Dr Bengt Finstad) and commissioned by us has been released.<\/p>\n

The report substantiates our view that it would be very odd indeed if the Scottish situation was markedly different to elsewhere. We do after all have the same sea lice, which all too often Scottish salmon farm operators are incapable of keeping under control, and the same wild fish!<\/p>\n
