Umpqua has celebrated its 45th anniversary with a $45,000 donation to the Tongass National Forest in Alaska.

Colorado fly-fishing company, Umpqua, has marked its 45th year with a $45,000 donation to conservation generated by sales of its products. Northern Dynasty Minerals (NDM) has announced that First Quantum Minerals (FQM), a Canadian mining company, will not participate in the Pebble Mine project, a plan to develop the Bristol Bay region of Alaska.
