On the Saturday and Sunday of May 28 and 29 2016, the flyfishing world will be surprised by the next Fly Fair, a festivity known to all for its hospitality and outrageous fun.

This time the fair will take place at a brand new location: the Trout Ponds of De Berenkuil in Nijkerk. A venue selected for its accessibility from all directions and for its central location in the Netherlands. The fact that the VNV and the Fly Fair both celebrate their thirty year jubilee in 2016, was an excellent reason for the parties concerned to organize this Fly Fair together.

On the grounds of the Berenkuil and along its beautiful trout ponds a large number of tents will be erected, giving the impression of a complete village. Here you can walk around, enjoy live music, roaming comedians and excellent catering, greet old friends and exchange happy memories. And most important of all, your flyfishing lifestyle will be fully satisfied.

Shop keepers, importers, travel agencies and whole sale firms from the Netherlands and from abroad, will supply the visitors with information, advice and all the important materials they may still lack. We expect to welcome various craftsmen such as splitcane builders, reel builders, leader twiners, leather tanners and the like.
The crème de la crème in the field of fly fishing will be present. Is one looking for a specific way to tie a certain fly or make a difficult cast? Visitors will be able to attend fly casting and fly dressing demonstrations, be informed about and pre-subscribe, admire a very advanced technical tour de force or various amazing old-fashioned crafts. The visitors will be introduced to the virginal waters of the fascinating Scandinavian rivers, the Finnish lakes or the more familiar County of Doyle. In short, you can taste the atmosphere of yore, in a setting of tomorrow. Back to the Future!
