Record number of visitors on first day of EWF

The Experience the World of Flyfishing attracted a record number of 2300 visitors on the first day of the show! It started a bit wet and fresh in the morning, which for a “storm” of people going through the halls right after the opening. The rain disappeared and eventhough it stayed quite fresh, the terrace was full for most of the time.

The special exhibition by Stuart Hardy of antique flyfishing tackle got a lot of attention from the visitors.

Thibaut Girand from France was the first caster to make a demonstration on the Saturday and he made a nice, lively show of it.

The EWF is a great place for friends to meet, this is a group of the EFFA (European Fly Fishing Association).

On both days a flycasting competition for ladies only is held at the show.

The childrens flytying table is usually one of the highlights of the show.

The children can win some nice prizes for the flies that they tie, so it worth giving this some attention.

The children’s program at the EWF excists for ten years now, which is why a balloon race was organised for the children.
