In a somewhat different form ‘Landgoedvisserij Someren’ has re-opened officially on Friday the 29th of April. Two of the four lakes on the nearly ten hectare large fishery are no longer reserved for flyfishing only.
The trout fishery, that was formerly known as ‘Landgoedvisserij De Heihorsten’, makes a new start with two new people that have taken a lease on the fishery.
Flyfishing on the ponds 3 and 4 (catch & release) will cost five euros per hour in the first two hours, € 3,50 per hour after that. It is also possible to fish with the fly on the very clear put-and-take ponds 1 and 2.
There is a small menu card with food and drinks available for the people that come to fish here.Karolien Goërtz thanked the people that had come to the opening, also on behalf of Ronnie van Bruchem; they will run “Someren” together from now on.
Local politicians Theo Maas and Gonnie van Bussel would perform the opening ceremony, they had some positive words to say first too.
Planting some twenty large rainbows in pond number 2 meant that the fishery was now officially re-opened.
