Getting the loose line back on the reel fast is always a good idea in such cases, keep the drag setting at very light.The rainbow trout is almost ready to be slid into the net. This way the fish can be unhooked and released faster than without the use of a net.A nice, silver rainbow trout with a proper tail, not all farmed trout look like this unfortunately. A quick photo with the trout held above the water, not above the sand or some dry grass.When you feel that the fish has regained enough strength, let him go. Now that the water is still rather cool, there is enough oxygen in the water and the trout will recover quickly.
