The importance of angling and its benefit to tourism and the local economy will be the subject of a talk delivered by representatives of EFTTA and the European Anglers Alliance (EAA) when they visit Romania next month.
A delegation has been invited to the east European country by Romanian MEP Norica Nicolai (below) to a special event inside the Senate to deliver a presentation on the environmental benefits and economic impact of recreational fishing. It will highlight the importance of fishing and how developing the sport can affect the country. It will also talk about the sustainability of the sport and discuss the effects that hydropower has on fish population and the state of the Danube Delta.
