Improving your fly-casting

On Saturday the 8th of October some fifty people gathered in Heerhugowaard in the north west of the Netherlands for a day of fly-casting instruction.

The morning started with a cup of coffee at a waterside restaurant and here the group op forty fly-fishers was divided into newcomers and more advanced fly-casters.

The instruction to the members of several fly-fishing clubs in the area was given by eight fly-casting instructors that are members of the Dutch Federation of Fly-Fishers (VNV) and/or the European Fly-Fishing Association (EFFA).

 In four one hour sessions the fly-fishers got tips and instruction on basic casts, special casts, roll casts etc.

The atmosphere was very positive, also due to the calm and sunny weather; everyone went home with a lot of tips in their package.
