Flyfishing for seatrout on the Møn peninsula can be most rewarding, next to that the shallow, brackish lake near Stege offers some excellent flyfishing for pike as well. There are guides available and one can stay at a B&B, a holiday home or at a campground.
Møn is best known for its high chalk cliffs on the east side of the peninsula.
There are several hotspots close to the lighthouse on the south east side of Møn. When the water in front of the cliffs is rather milky, instead of nicely clear, than go further west.
An easy to wade stretch west of Klintholm, the harbour is visible in the back.
In Spring and Autumn it pays to fish into the darkness, during the Wintertime the daylight hours are usually best.
A silver seatrout of around the minimum size from the stretch near Klintholm.
Big stones in the water and a high wall behind you are usually signs for good seatrout spots. This area is on the north side of the peninsula.
A fish to get the measuring tape out for. A school of fish came just within casting range, this was the second fish from the school.
A strong bar of silver, a seatrout (or searunning brown trout) of 59 cm in length. A fish that makes you want to come back here time after time.
Difficult circumstances with a windforce 7, waves and floating weed. As long as the water remains clear enough, it is always worth a cast. As the peninsula is not that big, you can reach more sheltered places within half an hour too.
