From the 7th until the 13th of August the World Youth Fly Fishing Championship is fished in Slovenia. Belgium will have a team fishing this world championship for the first time too and the two Belgium champions Giani Devooght (reservoir) and Constantijn Coppye (river) are part of this.

The two youngsters got to hear this news during the official prize-giving at the fly-fishing show “la Fête de la Mouche” in Roselies last weekend. For them this participation in a world championship is even more precious than the golden medals they have won this last year. G.Loomis youngster Giani, a member of Castingclub of Flanders and Constantijn, a member of Tight Lines, almost bit the medals in half for joy. They will have to show their best in August for sure.
