By sounding an ancient boat bell, Simeon Tienpont (skipper of team AkzoNobel in the Volvo Ocean Race), Joost Ringeling (show manager of Hiswa) and Paul Riemens (CEO Rai Amsterdam) officially opened the new Hiswa watersport show in Amsterdam Rai. The show will be held form the 8th until the 12th of March 2017.

Ids Boersma, former manager of Hiswa, did win the “Gouden Waterhoen” this year for his work for the watersport show.
From five nominations the PSI Aircover was selected as Hiswa Product of the Year 2017 by a jury.
X-4 Yachts Holland received the price for the Sailing Boat of the Year 2017 for their X4 ship.
A large number of people from the watersport industry was present at the opening of Hiswa 2017.
The XO 360 by XO Boats The Netherlands was selected as Motor Boat of the year 2017.

Simeon Tienpont will have a completely new sailing ship available for the Volvo Ocean Race which starts in October.
With 900 members HISWA Holland Marine Industry unites the best companies of the watersports industry in the Netherlands. For consumers the HISWA logo is a sign of quality and guarantee. For the government, media and other organisations HISWA is the spokesman representing the Holland marine industry.
