Want to meet your favorite author or guide or book a trip to some exotic locale? The festival is your chance! Don’t miss the opportunity to find out how and where to fish locally and around the globe.

The Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival may get bigger every year–growing from a few vendors under a single tent to one of the largest fly-fishing events in the country–but we maintain close, personal relationships with sponsors, vendors, and attendees. This year’s festival is adding 33,000 square feet of space to accommodate the demand for more vendor space. This means we can move all the wineries, kayak demo pond, and all lecture areas including Boys Scout Merit Badge classes inside!

We are especially grateful to our sponsors, who make the event possible: Temple Fork Outfitters, Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation, NuCanoe, Green Top Sporting Goods, Steam Bell Beer Works, Orvis, Mid Valley Press, Blue Ridge Outdoors, Bote, Virginia Sportsman, Ruthless Outdoor Adventures,  Blue Ridge Country, Harman’s Luxury Cabins, Eastern Fly Fishing, and Yellow Dog Fly Fishing Adventures.

Bring the Kids!

The family-friendly Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival is on a mission: We strive to get kids off their phones, out from behind their game consoles, outside, and on the water.

To that end we have partnered with the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation to offer classes appropriate for the whole family. Got a Boy Scout who hopes to earn his Fly Fishing Merit Badge in fly fishing? We’ve got that. Got a child who wants to learn how to tie flies? We’ve got that. Bring him or her by the Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing booth, where members of our armed forces from the Quantico and Fort Belvoir programs will provide free fly-tying instruction to families.

Ready to consider an outdoor immersion experience for your teen? You guess it: we’ve got that covered, too! Speak to Paul Kearney about our region’s best-kept outdoor secret: the Trout Unlimited Tri-State Conservation and Fishing Camp held for teens each June.
