The Fly Tyers Weekend is back again and the 2-Day Event is FREE. It will be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 4th and 5th. This year, like years ago, the event will be held in a huge tent, right behind Little River Outfitters.
This is probably the largest fly tying event in the Southeast United States. There will be fly tyers, who donate their time and travel expenses, here for you to watch, talk to, and learn from. You do not have to be a fly tyer to enjoy and learn from these folks. They are all excellent fly fishermen as well as fly tyers. You are likely to hear as many fishing stories as you are to see flies tied. More than 40 fly tyers will demonstrate through the weekend, in shifts. Many tie trout flies. Others tie warmwater flies. There will even be a saltwater fisherman or two demonstrating. Up to 24 fly tyers will be demonstrating at one time. They will all tie in 4-hour shifts. Some will tie both days.

We will have a 40ft x 80ft tent set up behind the Shop. There are heaters on reserve if the weather turns cool. Food will be available on site for purchase from the hard working ladies with Casting For Recovery. Money raised from their food sales will go to funding the life changing events they hold each year which help women who are battling or have survived breast cancer.
So, plan to visit Townsend, Tennessee in the Great Smoky Mountains in early November. Fishing can be very good that time of year. You can stay in a motel, lodge, B & B, rent a cabin, or camp in one of our wonderful campgrounds on Little River, right in town. The entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and over 800 miles of wild trout streams, is just a two mile drive from the event.
