Scott Forristall is the new President and CEO of the R.L. Winston Rod Company and Bauer Fly Reels, it was announced in early March.

Foristall’s impressive CV includes time at prestigious brands including Eagle Claw, Johnson Outdoors and, most recently, Far Bank Enterprises. He has spent 25 years working in the fishing and outdoor markets after starting his career as General Manager for Tycoon Fin-Nor.

“Scott brings a tremendous breadth of management experience and is committed to helping perpetuate Winston’s long tradition of building the finest fly rods in the world,” said David Ondaatje, Chairman, R.L. Winston Rod Company and Bauer Fly Reels. “And now that the integration of Bauer and Winston is complete, Scott will be instrumental in Winston’s efforts to allow our customers to also enjoy the phenomenal performance qualities of Bauer’s new SST and RX series of fly reels. “Scott is a passionate angler whose strength of character and management experience are exceptional.“

Winston’s previous General Manager, Jeff Wagner, left the company last year to join Smartwool, a subsidiary of VF Outdoors. Annette McLean, VP of Operations and Design, has been acting as interim head of the Twin Bridges, Montana, business.
