On the Saturday everybody gathered in Hotel Restaurant Molengroet in Geestmerambacht in the northwest of The Netherlands.
The Dutch section of the EFFA (the European Fly Fishing Association, a foundation of flycasting instructors, flytiers and flyfishers) organised a weekend for it’s members and for interested people on the 17th and 18th of November 2018. There were participants and instructors from Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands present this weekend.

Bas de Bruin welcomed everyone to the EFFA weekend and explained the program for the first day.
There was full list of workshops on the Saturday, one could also try an EFFA Basic Flycasting Instructor exam to see whether one could pass the test. Bas de Bruin explains the rules of the exam.
Bas de Bruin, Richard Verbeek and Rudy van Duijnhoven were present as examinators for the flycasting instructor exam. They gave tips how to improve one’s casting as well.

The test for the Basic Flycasting Instructor Exam took all day. The Sunday was reserved for some flyfishing in the area.
