International fly fishing destination specialist, Erik Argotti, has joined the Redding, California-based, The Fly Shop.

He brings decades of experience to his new role, including thirteen years guiding all over the Bristol Bay area of Alaska. He also spent two summers working on the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia and has lived and travelled extensively throughout New Zealand.

He enjoys chasing steelhead in British Columbia and Alaska, as well as on the Olympic Peninsula, and is an avid photographer, having work published in Fly Fish Journal, Fly Rod and Reel, Orvis, Pheasants Forever, and other sporting publications.

“Ultimately, my intense passion for fly fishing, travel and photography are lifelong desires and I look forward to bringing my experiences to The Fly Shop team and helping anglers navigate the world of international fly fishing travel,” said Argotti.
