
Save the Date: International scientists will talk about the global threat to wild rivers at a symposium on 18 October 2019 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rogner Hotel in Tirana.
In the evening (19.30-21.30), three of the river experts will present interesting and funny stories from their field of research at the Kinema Millenium; accompanied by musical entertainment. Both events are free of charge and no registration is necessary.

The International Wild Rivers Science Symposium (IWRS), hosted by the University Tirana in cooperation with the University of Vienna, will bring together renowned scientists from around the world to discuss the condition of the world’s last wild rivers and ways to protect them.

The symposium will conclude with a Wild Rivers Night – an entertaining evening for free-flowing rivers with live music and selected talks by Robert Naiman (USA), Aleko Miho (Albania) and Klement Tockner (Austria).
