There’s still been no let up with the rain and storms and while some fishing is being done, it is very frustrating for the majority of us who have limited time to get out on the water. But for this week I spoke to Glenda Powell to get the latest news from the Blackwater and fingers crossed, the river is coming into a fishable order. I also spoke to Glenda to find out about the IFI’s new Women Try Fishing Programme which is aiming to get more women into fishing.
Glenda is one of the instructors on the programme and I also asked her about the obstacles she had to overcome to rise to the top in such a male-dominated sport.
