Trade show EFTTEX in Prague can not go ahead as planned

EFTTEX 2020 and Covid-19 – update from Olivier Portrat, EFTTA CEO.

“We understand you are eager to hear what is happening with EFTTEX 2020, scheduled to take place in Prague this June. We appreciate you are all in unprecedented times and managing your businesses is exceptionally challenging at the moment.

We have planned many new initiatives for this year’s show including for the first time a street fishing competition where all the top social media influencers of the European fishing world are invited. Our mission is to reach out to their online community, showcase EFTTEX and give our exhibitors new exposure for the first time ever.

Yesterday the Czech government outlined their five-stage plan to bring the country back to some form of normality following the coronavirus crisis, which will limit public events to 50 people or less from 8th June 2020.

Along with the EFTTA board I am looking at workable options to take EFTTEX forward. We will make an announcement to the trade as soon as we have reached a viable solution.

We understand that this situation creates a huge amount of uncertainty in your business planning, please rest assured we are working hard for you in these difficult times.

We will be in touch again soon.

Be well and stay safe.”
