Fly fishing for pike: top tips from L’ile Verte

Norbert Renaud, of L’ile Verte Lodge, has nearly 400 pike of 100cm+ to his name during his 10 year career as a pike fishing guide in Ireland – so he knows his stuff when it comes to guiding and catching pike!

In this video, which he has posted up on his YouTube Channel, Norbert gives fly anglers some sound advice on what materials and knots to use when tying up leaders and traces for pike fly fishing. You can’t beat listening to a Frenchman talking fishing in English with the lilt of an Irish accent!

Once you’ve figured out how to tie up your leaders, you can hit the water and put them  to the test, like Norbert does in this next video – The ‘1 Fly Challenge!’.
