As winter turns to spring and the days gradually get longer, my dreams start evolving around my two favourite freshwater fish – brown trout and pike. This is when the excitement of the coming season becomes almost unbearable.
Miskito Coast stretches from the Costa Rican border all the way up the Atlantic seaboard of Nicaragua. The region is named not for the insects, but for the Miskito Amerindians that are indigenous to this part of the Central American isthmus.
