Since 2007, the EWF has been committed to teaching children and young people the joy of fly fishing with its extensive youth programme. The programme focuses on the basics of casting and tying insect imitations.
At the casting pool, children and young people can familiarise themselves live with the technique of casting and get to know the equipment used for this. At the large tying table in the barn, young people can familiarise themselves with the materials, patterns and techniques of fly tying. There will also be a competition to see who can tie the most beautiful EWF birthday fly. The aim is also to raise children’s and young people’s awareness of nature, the environment and wildlife. Children and young people of all ages are cordially invited to come to both stations.

The Event Forum Fürstenfeld will, for the twentieth time, be the international meeting point for fly fishermen and -women. After a great many successful expositions, the EWF will open its doors in April 2025.
