Ferdy Geerdink is a long-time EFFA instructor from the Netherlands. He organises numerous fly fishing events in the Netherlands and is one of the country’s most renowned casting instructors.

Ferdy effectively teaches the fundamentals of casting when learning to fly fish. Come try casting yourself – Ferdy will help! Ferdy can be found at the EFFA (European Fly Fishing Association) booth 64 every day.

 

 

At the Casting Pool

Right at the casting pool, everything revolves around fly casting and tying. Led by Jürgen Kammann (Germany Delegate), you will meet some fantastic EFFA fly tiers – great conversations are guaranteed! Fly tiers Yvonne Borrmann, Jürgen Häfele, Walter Fahrenbach, Alexander Gernitz, Christian Kirsch and Rudy van Duijnhoven (only on Sunday) will be there, showcasing their artistic creations. It is possible to purchase or at least order some flies for the upcoming season.

Groot Rotterdam will also be there again with a fantastic presentation and three tiers. Finest Flyfishing, A & M Fishing Tackle, and the Wilmers Fly Fishing School will also be offering tackle, tying materials, and a wide range of accessories at their booths. Fly fishing enthusiasts are sure to be thrilled!
