Annual Seattle Fly Fishing Show has all that is new in the sport

Everything new in the sport of fly-fishing – rods, reels, boots, waders, outerwear, fly lines, personal watercraft, and new fly patterns from U.S. and international manufacturers – will be on display for the first time in the Pacific Northwest at the Seattle/Bellevue Fly Fishing Show, February 14-15 in the Meydenbauer Center.

The weekend event has some $95,000 in national door prizes including a variety of tackle, personal watercraft, and trips to Alaska, Patagonia, Iceland, South Africa, and Brazil plus about $10,000 in local door prizes. Hours are 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Sat; and 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sun. Fly Fishing Show® admission is $20 for one day, $35 for two days. Children under age 5 are free as are Boy and Girl Scouts under age 16 in uniform. Children 6-12 are $5. Active military with an ID are $10. Show attendees receive a free one year membership to Trout Unlimited, a $35 value.

 

Dr. Gary Borger, Mac Brown, Tim Flagler, Landon Mayer, Frank Burr, and David Paul Williams are among the dozens of instructors, presenters, and seminar leaders scheduled for the Seattle/Bellevue Fly Fishing Show at the Meydenbauer Center, February 14-15.

 

Demonstrators, class, or seminar leaders include Dr. Gary Borger, Mac Brown, Philip Rowley, Tim Flagler, Frank Burr, and Landon Mayer. The show offers continuous seminars, classes, fly tying, casting demonstrations, and theatre presentations. In addition to the regular 2-1/2 hour classes with a $100 registration fee, there will be a special day-long advanced casting class with Brown and Dr. Borger on February 13 – a day in advance of the show – limited to eight students; and a Comprehensive Euronymphing class with Jason Randall and Josh Miller on Feb. 14. Tuition for the advanced Borger/Brown class is $625; the Randall/Miller Euronymphing course registration is $225.

Instructors for standard 2-1/2 hour Fly Fishing Show classes include Borger, Brown, Miller, Tim Flagler, Frank Burr, Landon Mayer, and Philip Rowley. Fly casting demonstrators approximately hourly will be conducted by Borger, Brown, Mayer, and Travis Johnson. Featured fly tiers include Amanda Chapman, Borger, Rowley, Flagler, Mayer, Brown, and Michael T. Williams. There will be a combined 41 Destination Theater and Fishing BC Theater presentations during the two day event. The 2026 International Fly Fishing Film Festival is Fri. (2/14) at 6:30. Admission is $17 in advance or $20 at the entrance.

Fly Fishers International (FFI) hosts the Fly Fishing Learning Center with fly tying, casting instruction and other fly fishing information. Show attendees may vote on 41 categories of products entered in the “Best Of” Consumer Choice Awards including rods, reels, waders, boots, packs, Polarised eyewear, accessories and apparel. Awards are jointly sponsored by Fly Fusion Magazine and Fly Fishing Journeys.
