Two open hour long sessions of “coffee and fishing conversation” with 97 year old Penn State University icon Joe Humphreys are among the highlights of the annual Lancaster Fly Fishing Show, March 14-15 at the Lancaster County Convention Center.

Hours are 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Sat. and 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Sun. Fly Fishing Show® admission is $20 for one day and $35 for both days. Children under age 5 are free as are Boy and Girl Scouts under age 16 in uniform. Children 6-12 are $5. Active military with an ID are $10. There will be 20 regular classes with a $100 registration plus an all-day session limited to eight students on March 13 – the day before the show opens – taught by Mack Brown; and two Comprehensive Euronymphing classes on Sat. with Jason Randall and Josh Miller. Tuition for the all-day advanced class with Brown is $625; the 8:30-11 a.m. and 2-4:30 p.m. Comprehensive Euronymphing classes are $225. Other classes and seminar leaders include George Daniel, Tim Cammisa, Whitney Gould, Tim Flagler, Dianne Tidy, Dusty Wissmath, Bob Lindquist, and Frank Burr.

There are 65 free Destination Theater audio/visual presentations ranging from an Introduction to Fly Fishing Gear for Women to Bonefishing the South Caicos; to Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Char and Grayling on the Kanektok River, Alaska. Fly casting demonstrations approximately hourly will be conducted by Humphreys, Brown, Daniel, Gould, Luong Tam and other professionals. Featured fly tiers include Cammisa, Flagler, Jake Villwock, Tom Baltz, and Daniel.

 

 

The 2026 International Fly Fishing Film Festival is Sat. (3/14) at 5:30. Admission is $17 in advance or $20 at the entrance. There are approximately $100,000 in national door prizes plus another $10,000 in local prizes up for grabs. Prizes include fly-fishing tackle, watercraft and fishing trips to Alaska, Central and South America. Fly Fishers International (FFI) hosts the Fly Fishing Learning Center with fly tying, casting instruction and other fly fishing information continuously.

Lancaster Convention Center exhibit space will be crammed with rods, reels, fly lines, flies, tying materials, wading gear, clothing and accessories new for 2026. Show attendees may vote on 41 categories of products entered in the “Best Of” Consumer Choice Awards including rods, reels, waders, boots, packs, Polarised eyewear, accessories and apparel. Awards are jointly sponsored by Fly Fusion Magazine and Fly Fishing Journeys.
