This week some more participants were announced for the Experience the World of Fly Fishing (EWF). The Event Forum Fürstenfeld in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich will be the centre of the fly fishing world again on the 18th and 19th of April, 2026.

At over 80 years of age, but not the least bit tired of sitting down every day to tie his special salmon flies, Ken has already finalised his travel plans with us: on 18 and 19 April, the fly dresser, who originally made an apprenticeship at Hardy Brothers company, will return to the EWF and tie his flies in hand. It is always a great pleasure for the show to have Ken, The Last Hardy Fly Dresser” and his family with us!

In his casting demonstration, he will focus on lines and show visitors the special features of different head lengths and their influence on casting style, presentation and control. Thibaut Giband always impresses with his professional and charming demonstrations. We look forward to seeing him at or perhaps in the pool.

In memory of a wonderful mutual friend who once introduced us to each other, four of them are travelling from the island to the EWF in Fürstenfeldbruck to tie their special flies.

Visitors can actively follow the tying of fly patterns for salmon, Arctic char and trout fishing at the fly-tying benches of Baldur Hermansson, Skúli Kristinsson, Sigurberg Guðbrandsson and Thorbjörn Helgi. The four Icelanders are happy to share tips and tricks and look forward to welcoming you on stage in the Stadtsaal.
