A massive silver plated body breaks the surface. Every scale on the massive fish is vibrating. The bucket-mouth is violently shaking. The sound is almost deafening. And you are attached to it. With a silly little flyrod.
That’s the tarpon fishing right there. There’s many places in the world where you an catch them, but only a very few will give you the chance to sight fish for these prehistoric creatures. Central america, especially Costa Rica and Nicaragua are know for their massive river tarpon, but not all of these places will give the opportunity to hunt these trophies in skinny water. And that’s what we are talking about here. No dredging, No fishfinders to locate tarpon in deep channels and most of all… no sinking lines.
And here’s the good news. Already for the season 2016/2017, we have been able to streamline our logistics and offer a super price of 3990 USD. Bare in mind that this is a four rod operation only for some of the biggest tarpon in the world. To keep the fishing pressure as low as possible guarantees exceptional fishing for all our guests throughout the season. The seasonal report from 2015 speaks volumes that both a very successful approach in terms of catch numbers as well as sustainability. At the peak of the El Niño floods, we would still catch incredible numbers of big tarpon in both the lagoons and the riversystem.
2016 season runs from July 30 until December 11. We have a total of 14 weeks available and although the system is big we have based the schedule on fishing every second week in order to give the area a really good rest in between every group.
