For the 20th time, the JAGEN UND FISCHEN exhibition is inviting visitors to its wide-ranging world of adventure from 19 to 22 January in Augsburg, Germany: visitors can expect high quality products from renowned exhibitors, innovations in the area of ‘Ladies’ Passion’ and the second JAGEN UND FISCHEN Messe Cup in archery. Find information, discuss, select, try out, hold equipment, cast a line, listen to exciting presentations in the hunters’, anglers’ and archers’ forums and between times, or at the end of the day, enjoy delicious game or regional fish – JAGEN UND FISCHEN promises an exceptionally varied programme for every visitor.

Female fishers’ ‘Stammtisch’
Fishing associations from Swabia and Upper Bavaria (Fischereiverband Schwaben e.V. and Fischereiverband Oberbayern e.V.) will initiate a joint female fishers’ ‘stammtisch’ – or regulars’ table – at JAGEN UND FISCHEN. Discovering innovative products at the show itself, talking to exhibitors about what women want in terms of suitable equipment for this sport and intensive exchange of experiences about potential angling adventures in the waters of Swabia and Upper Bavaria are on the agenda. “I personally would like to see this developing into a women’s anglers’ forum for the long term, like a counterpart to the existing hunters’ forum for women, and I would be happy to actively support this,” explains Carolin Schaffer, the new Managing Director of the Upper Bavaria Fishing Association (Fischereiverband Oberbayern e.V.). Carolin Schaffer is herself an angler, and most recently, in the Chair of Aquatic Systems Biology, she managed the ‘Assessment of renaturation measures on the Inn for the protection of the fish population’ project. Anglers actively protect nature, and conveying this topic to the general public is particularly close to Carolin Schaffer’s heart, which is why her association’s presence at the show is so important. She particularly wants to attract young people, especially women, to this hobby and its many sporting aspects. She herself is fascinated by spin fishing and hopes to learn more about this discipline in the future.

High-tech rods and lines
Ockert automatically arouses anglers’ desires, since its own brands SPORTEX and Climax represent the ultimate in innovative quality for angling. The sophisticated design of the Hyperion XT, a very light and fast predator fish rod, makes it just as coveted as the new Turbo Cat Feeder catfish rod which, with its two different sensitive tips, reliably gets a bite. Japanese High-Performance Carbon promises extra wide casts with the new sea fishing rods, while the latest trout rods tempt with adjectives such as super-light, fast and very sensitive. Threading thin lines through small rings with the fluorescent Speedfädel line-threader from Climax not only saves time, it spares your nerves too. The world’s first 12-braid line which does not open and remains compact, even with the most severe twisting, is the company’s 12wt thanks to its innovative spiral construction. And these are just a few of the in-novations that Ockert will present at JAGEN UND FISCHEN. Ockert promises passionate and burgeoning anglers completely expert advice about all the products and their uses as well as the details of carefully selected retailers.
