Destinations Season 2017 for the Salmon Fishing Club

Season 2016 brought some real highlights once again for the Salmon Fishing Club! Alex’ groups not only had some great brown trout and grayling fishing on the Balkans and successful trips chasing big Northern Pike, but he and his guests also left the Islands of Los Roques with big smiles after eight days stalking tailing bonefish, tarpon and snook. Stefan, on his turn visited Russia’s Bichi River catching Siberian trout, Amur pike and plenty of majestic taimen up to 146 cm.

Wim’s trips to Chile and Argentina brought, as almost usual, very big fresh king salmon, beautiful landlocked Atlantic salmon and record rainbow, brown and brook trout. It’s obvious that, together with some more promising destinations, the Salmon Fishing Club will put these places strongly again in their future programs. Technically seen they are restructuring their business club model which, later in this year, should lead not only to a new form but also to new communication methods. Meanwhile, please enjoy the program for 2017 and feel free to ask for details by contacting Wim or Marlies.

Los Roques / Venezuela

Los Roques / Venezuela
After a very successful trip in Sept./Oct. 2016 our guide Alexander Keus hosts some more trips to the southern Caribbean during season ’17. 8 days of fishing for big, tailing bonefish in crystal clear waters are on the menu! Besides stalking silver shadows on the flats you’ll fish half the time fully guided from boat, chasing tarpon, jack and barracuda – while having a chance to cast at big permit. Enjoy a peaceful time in our lovely Posada with three excellent meals a day and drinks on the beach after sunset! Did we mention lobsters? And by the way: Los Roques is the perfect destination to travel with a non-fishing partner. There are not many saltwater destinations where you can combine 1st class fishing with sustainable tourism.
Max 5 rods: Euro 2525 ,”all-in” excl. flights to Caracas/Maiquetía ( ~Euro 600). Ask for special prices for non-fishing partners!

Oyensaa / Argardsystem / Namdalseid / Norway

Oyensaa / Argardsystem / Namdalseid / Norway

Usually this is the best week for this lovely Trondelag river some 150 km north of Trondheim, being part of the Argard system which boasts of strong Grilse – and in this period a fair number of medium sized Salmon up to 9 kg. Our small group has the famous Berrefossen pool exclusively at its disposal and together with max 3 other rods the 1,2 km stretch below. The farm house accommodation, upon wish including full board, overviews the river at a walking distance of 250 m. Wim will also be present to introduce the river and its possibilities to you. This place is less adapted for people with walking problems.

Rivers X / Kola Peninsula

Rivers X / Kola Peninsula
Kola is a peninsula in the far north west of Russia and it lies almost completely inside the Arctic Circle, bordered by the White Sea in the (south-)east and the Barents Sea in the north. Since years this destination is famous for its first class Atlantic Salmon and Brown Trout fishing – as well as for increasing prices each season, unfortunately.

The more happy we’re to present you a phenomenal offer! We’ve found a rather short but big river north of Murmansk, which was opened for fishing in early July 2016. In just a few days an impressive amount of fresh Atlantic Salmon including some 20+ lbs were caught. This river plus a smaller one are operated from a brand new log cabin camp, which holds everything you might ask for, including Full Board, comfortable beds, hot showers, sauna, satellite TV and even a washing machine.  But the best is, that we’re able to offer this package for a very reasonable price!

We’ve booked two weeks for season 2017. Especially in July you’ll witness an impressive run of big, fresh Atlantic Salmon – first and foremost in the bigger of both rivers. The smaller river will hold an enormous amount of middle sized chrome fish and many Grilse, besides big Brown Trout zipping dries from the surface. In September a late run of Atlantic Salmon will keep you fishing for 7 days straight. Quads and ATV will bring you easily to the best spots of both rivers.

You can be pretty sure that these special rates won’t make it to 2018, so better be fast and ask us for further information and more pictures. And sorry, but at the start of this new destination we will not give names before booking.

July: Max 6 rods: Euro 3300, “all-in” excl. flights at ~Euro 550, 1 Hotel night in Murmansk (~Euro 80), Visum (Euro 70).

September: Max 8 rods: Euro 2200, “all-in” excl. flights at ~Euro 550, 1 Hotel night in Murmansk (~Euro 80), Visum (Euro 70).
