London Flyfishing Fair
March 10 & 11
The first fly-fishing show to take place in the heart of London. Something for the beginner, and something for the expert. A full range of brands representing worldwide travel, tackle, clothing, art, and casting, amidst interactive demonstrations, talks and seminars.
West of England Game Fair
March 18 & 19
Features 300 companies, with a fishing area for game and coarse. Demonstrations from experts, including Hywel Morgan, who will be appearing alongside his daughters, Yasmin and Tanya. Yasmin is two-times casting champion, at the age of 14. Hywel is World Games Accuracy champion, European Distance champion, and is the World Record holder for multiple casting (wielding 66 rods at the same time).
In addition, Chevron Hackles will be hosting a Fly Tying ‘have a go’ area, where all-comers are invited to have a taste of fly tying.
Saltwater Fly Fishing Festival
September 21 – 24
The third Saltwater Fly Fishing festival will take place at St. Mawes, Cornwall with fly fishers of all abilities from around the globe invited to partake in this fun event, which includes instruction, talks, fly-tying and culminates in a friendly competition. Experts include FF&FT’s Colin MacLeod (mullet), David Wolsoncroft Dodds (porbeagle sharks), plus Robert Bunn, who fishes the salt from a kayak, Derek Aunger – a qualified game angling instructor, and Nick Mackrory a local fly fishing skipper.
