Paolo Rezzonico started off the casting program with a demonstration of the Italian TLT style of casting with light rods and long leaders.
On the second day of the Experience the World of Fly Fishing (EWF), the winners of the German Open Fly Tying Championship were made public around noon. The second day of the show was again very busy, the weather stayed warm and sunny, with just a bit more clouds.
Ken Middlemist showed how to tie salmon flies without a vice, like in the old days when he tied them for Hardy.
Shane Maloney of the Mount Falcon Hotel on the banks of the River Moy got a lot of interest from potential new costumers.
The flies that won gold, silver and bronze were displayed at the show, so everyone could see the standard of tying.

For the category Dry Flies one had to send in a March Brown plus one other pattern.

Niklaus Bauer demonstrated how to cast really big streamers of some 40 centimeters or so.
Antti Guttorm showed that big flies can be cast with a double handed fly-rod as well.
The winners of the female fly-casting competition on the Sunday with their prizes: a doll made in Ireland. Glenda Powell ran the competition together with her daughter and the participants had to put the “fly” inside a ring as often as possible under windy circumstances.
Around three o’clock the winners in the youth fly-tying competition were announced for the two categories.
Some of the winners that were present for the prize giving, the other children will receive their prizes by mail.
Christopher Rownes finished of the casting demonstration program on the Sunday with a demonstration full of humor.
In 2018 the Experience the World of Fly Fishing will be held on the 14th and 15th of April at the same location again.
