Angling Trust calls for reform of farming to boost productivity of fisheries.

A draft report prepared for Environment Secretary Michael Gove by the Angling Trust, WWF and the Rivers Trust was picked up by BBC Radio 4’s Today programme in advance of a high profile launch in the House of Commons on April 24th. The report highlights bad farming practices as the chief cause of the decline in the health of our rivers and fish stocks and calls for radical reform of farming practices and land management to prevent soil erosion, flooding and pollution.
