Scientific Anglers, a leading US manufacturer of fly lines, leaders and tippets, has appointed Joe Wolthuis as its Marketing Manager.

He has joined the Midland, Minnesota, company from retail chain, Cabela’s, where he served as Associate Category Manager of Fly Fishing since 2011. “We are extremely excited to have Joe joining the team,” said Scientific Anglers President, Brad Befus.

“He brings with him nearly 18 years of well-rounded business and fly fishing industry experience which will fit incredible well with the marketing needs of our brand. We are confident that he is the perfect person to lead the direction of our marketing and support the needs of our sales team.”

Wolthuis said: “I am thrilled to be joining Scientific Anglers. Growing up in Michigan, it has been a brand that I have dreamt of working for. I am excited to build on the heritage of the company by focusing on the passionate community of anglers behind it and engaging consumers from novice to expert.”
