Orvis launches UK saltwater fly festival

Orvis UK has revealed details of the first-ever dedicated saltwater fly fishing festival set for early September in the south of England.

The festival will see fly fishers from all over the UK, both experienced and beginners, descend on the beaches to sample the catch-and-release fishing on offer in Chichester and is designed to celebrate the UK’s excellent angling as well as promote the accessibility of the discipline to a brand new audience.

 

 

Species targeted will include bass, mullet, garfish and mackerel, while experts will be on hand with advice on tackle, tactics and techniques, plus clinics and masterclasses. The event, which will run from Thursday to Sunday, September 3rd to 6th, at Chichester Harbour and Hayling Island, with Orvis’ Chichester store used as a base for special features and clinics. Sponsors include Nissan Yeomans in Bognor Regis, Fulling Mill, Buff UK, Arcade Belt Co and Eco For Life Water.
