LIFE BEYOND WALLS: GUATEMALA
The search for fish opens doors for the few that chase it. Professional angler and TV personality Bear Holeman, along with professional surfer Mike Gleason, headed south to one of the few places in the world where you can catch sailfish and marlin (the world’s fastest fish) on a fly rod. Their final destination: Guatemala.
After spending a few days in Antigua soaking up the Spanish Baroque influenced architecture and the local nightlife, it was time to get down to business and head to the coast. With giddy anticipation, Bear and Mike set off for a fishing expedition that would leave a lasting impression on both of them, along with a new found respect for the fish that inhabit the waters of Guatemala.
