Just last year Fenwick® introduced the World Class family of high-performance fast-action fly rods and the reception by fly anglers has been great. Fenwick is expanding the line up to offer more versions from a 7-foot 3-weight to a 13-foot, 6-inch 8/9 weight.
World Class fast-action blanks are built with 3M® Powerlux® 500 technology and composites. The rods are more powerful and lighter due to the high concentration of nano-sized spheres of silica combined with high modulus graphite fibers.
AAA cork is used for the reverse halfwell split grip on the 3- to 6-weight models and the extended full well handle on certain models. Double-handed World Class rods measure from 11 feet, 6 inches to 13 feet, 6 inches. The rods also feature a secure, exotic hardwood reel seat design. The butt cap is laser engraved with the Fenwick logo.
Eighteen new models are added to the original eleven. All World Class fly rods are either four- or six-piece and delivered with custom Fenwick cloth-covered rod tube and bag. MSRP for the Fenwick World Class Fly Rod ranges from $299.95 to $499.95.
