The new collection Morakniv Classic is our tribute to the Swedish handicraft tradition that we have been part of for over a century.

“This collection of knives is a real classic and it is my privilage to present these refined new knives to the world. Users often declare their love to the Morakniv Classic knives because of the countless memories it has been a part of over the years. They are now ready for a new era with hopes of memories still to be made.” says Dennis Becker, Global Sales & Marketing Director at Morakniv.

Back to the origin with the new Morakniv Classic.

The Morakniv Classic carbon knife with the characteristic barrel-shaped and red-stained birch handle was first introduced around one hundred years ago with the ambition to portray an exclusive mahogany knife. In the decades since, it has grown into one of the most beloved lifestyle knives in the world – a timeless Morakniv in its purest form. Generations of woodcarvers, carpenters and craftsmen have been using, personalizing and improving the Classic knives ever since.

Like the original knife, the new Morakniv Classic collection also features a shimmering transparent red-stained birch handle that highlights the wood grain. In other words, each knife is truly unique. The polymer sheath with a polished look is covered with the Dalecarlian shield and has a belt strap of Swedish vegetable tanned leather, designed to stand the test of time for generations to come.

The Morakniv Classic collection consists of five knives in different sizes, here in order from the smallest to the largest, Morakniv Classic No 1/0, Morakniv Classic No 2, Morakniv Classic No 2F, Morakniv Classic No 3 & Morakniv Classic Wood Splitting Knife.
