RIO is proud to announce a new fly tying video series presented by one of RIO’s lead fly designers, Brita Fordice. This series consists of short, less than-a-minute tips that focus on a single element of fly tying.

Whether a complete beginner, or an experienced tier, you will find plenty of tips that will increase your tying skills and knowledge.

This new series starts with Brita running through the anatomy of a hook. In this video she explains the terminology that fly tiers (and fly fishers) use when talking about hooks, and hook parts. If you are new to fly tying, this is essential knowledge to have.
In Case You Missed It…
In this link to the previous RIO Fly Fishing Tip Chris Walker shows how to identify a dry fly. There are many times when anglers are told that a “dry fly” is what you should be fishing, and in those situations it is helpful to know how to identify a dry fly. Enjoy!
