Fly Tying for Children and Teenagers
– Saturday, 2 April 2022, 10 am – 5 pm
– Sunday, 3 April 2022, 10 am – 2 pm

Fly Tying Championship for Children and Young Adults:
„Be inspired by your favourite animal“ – for example spiky dry fly or streamer with dog’s ears –  everything is permitted as long as it does not depict an animal exactly.

The awarding of the prices will take place on Sunday, 3 April at 3 pm. This year, Leonie and Hubert Hartmann and Andreas Hillebrand will join the EWF fly tying team of the kids’ fly tying programme.

Casting for Children and Teenagers

Here, you can try to cast with the fly rod. Experienced casters will show you the basic concepts.

Saturday and Sunday
– 10:00 – 11:00 am.
–  1:00 –  2:30 pm.
–  3:30 –  4:30 pm.

 

 

All those interested should go to the stand on the ground floor of the barn across from the snack bar. Please sign up at the booth of the kids’ programme!

ANY TIME

At the stand of the children`s programme, Tenne EG 8 or at the stand of the special exhibition “Fishing as Part of Society” of the DAFV:

Knot Tying: Learn four simple knots which are very useful at the water.

Life cycle of the insects: Is that a nymph or a dry fly? And where does the fish eat them?
Memory: Find the pairs

The Magnet Game: We are looking for young people with fish expertise! Do you know our local fish? In the Magnet Game, you can show what types of fish you already know and probably get to know some new ones.

Surprises: Bag yourself some neat surprises (Foyer Tenne). In addition, there is a DAFV fabric backpack to put your loot in … We look forward to your visit!

 

 

Poster Deal: Get yourself a giant fishing poster for your room. Then you can show your friends what is so great about fishing.

 

 

And if you feel like it, visit Patagonia’s Kids Corner in the first floor of the Tenne next to the kids fly tying area.…

 

17th EWF – Experience the World of Fly Fishing

The Event Forum Fürstenfeld will, for the seventeenth time, be the international meeting point for fly fishermen and -women. After fifteen successful expositions, the EWF will open its doors in April 2022.
