June is the last month we can accept entries into this fantastic amateur film competition. So get your camera or phone out, hit the water, make a short video and upload it here. You could win some incredible prizes!
The grand prize is an all‐expenses paid trip to Idaho Falls to fish with the RIO team, $300 value of RIO gear, a cash prize of $500. And an entry into the “original film short” category at the International Fly Fishing Film Festival (IF4) ‐ North America’s premium fly fishing film event.
2018 Winner
The 2018 overall winner was Meris McHaney, from Austin, TX with her film “Lucky”. Last summer she flew to Idaho Falls to fish with the RIO crew, and had a blast! Check out the video that Meris made highlighting her all-expenses paid trip, and get fired up to enter your own short film.
RIO’s Amateur Fly Fishing Film Awards is an opportunity for amateur fly fishing film makers to showcase this wonderful sport by entering a short video into this online competition. The submission could be a short story, a documentary, or a clip from a cellphone that you feel needs to be seen.
