Worldwide protective eyewear leader, Wiley X proudly announces the launch of their new Patented color-enhancing lens technology, CAPTIVATE™.

Known for its innovation, Wiley X started its early color-enhancing lens research just over ten years ago. Over the last four years, they’ve managed to develop and design the most complete polarized lens on the market. To ensure that CAPTIVATE™ lenses met Wiley X’s uncompromising pursuit to make the most versatile protective eyewear. CAPTIVATE™ lenses had to achieve two goals: have the capability to be used during everyday activities while still meeting the highest safety standards. These goals have been achieved.

The technology behind CAPTIVATE™ is multi-faceted. The human eye blurs blue, green, and red wavelengths where they merge. CAPTIVATE™ lenses eliminate this blur, providing a much more clear and crisp experience, which then heightens colors.

“During 2019 we’ve had CAPTIVATE™ tested by the best of the best, as we work closely together with World Champions, WPC, and WCC winners as well as Predator tour winners. The overwhelming feedback received is a testimony to the fact that Wiley X once again has created a new level of what is possible with polarized eyewear. I look forward to bringing CAPTIVATE™ to market in February 2020 working close together with our dedicated teams of distributors, dealers and brand ambassadors as I know we will all push hard to make CAPTIVATE™ another game-changer for Wiley X, states Thomas Wæver, EMEA Outdoor Director.”

“I have been wearing Wiley X polarized eyewear for years and I have always been more than happy with the quality and overall performance. Wiley X polarized glasses are extremely comfortable to wear and I hardly feel I’m wearing sunglasses. With the all new CAPTIVATE™ lens technology Wiley X has taken polarized lenses to a whole new level. I see fish following my lure earlier and have time to react in time and change the action from my lure when needed. Wiley X polarized eyewear using CAPTIVATE™ lens technology is by far the best polarized eyewear I have ever used and I can’t imagine fishing without them,” Luc states.

Wiley X will launch CAPTIVATE™ in the spring of 2020 with prescription capabilities. CAPTIVATE™ will be available with six different mirror/lens combinations as well as two non-mirrored versions. CAPTIVATE™ lenses will be available in 25 skus in US and 18 skus in EMEA, including popular Wiley X models such as the WX Gravity, WX Compass, and WX Omega, as well as Wiley X’s brand-new women’s line, alternative-fit models (Spring 2020), and newest releases.
