How To Fly Fish Cross-River Back-Eddies

Jensen Fly Fishing: Fly fishing has some obscure details because trout live in small pockets of river habitats. One of those is a back eddy. A back eddy simply is a reversal of current direction behind a deflection in the current as caused by a hard structure. Quite often eddies occur across the river in locations inaccessible to anglers – we can’t walk around and cross the river and get in ‘proper’ position. In this video we look at how to fly fish these cross-river back eddies. Let’s have a look!
