RIO’s new Technical Euro Nymph Line is the finest Euro nymphing line we have ever produced. The line is built on a monofilament core that creates a stiff, slick line for quick feeding and less line sag between the rod guides. The innovative design continues by extending the core beyond the line to become the leader—resulting in no knots between line & leader to get caught in your guides.
RIO offers two distinct versions of this line. The regular Technical Euro Nymph is a full 80ft fly line with a 14ft level leader emerging from the front end. The line is ultra-thin in diameter to maximize sensitivity for lightning-fast hook sets, and is level so can be cut to suit each angler’s preference. The leader is an incredibly sensitive .013″ diameter to allow for detection of the subtlest grabs.
For a shorter line, we’ve developed the Technical Euro Nymph Shorty. This line is only 20 feet long, and with the same14ft leader emerging from the front end. It is deliberately short so it can be added to your regular trout line rather than having a dedicated Euro set-up. When you get to the perfect Euro nymph run, simply tie on your Technical Euro Nymph Shorty to your typical trout quiver and start nymphing.
