Dear Bristol Bay supporter,

On Monday, the 26th of April, the largest hunting and fishing businesses and organizations sent a letter to President Biden and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) calling for permanent protections for the people, fish, and fish-based economies of Bristol Bay.

On Monday, the 26th of April, the largest hunting and fishing businesses and organizations sent a letter to President Biden and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) calling for permanent protections for the people, fish, and fish-based economies of Bristol Bay.

Join the hunting and angling community by asking decision-makers to permanently protect Bristol Bay today.

The letter specifically asks President Biden and EPA to do two things to permanently safeguard southwest Alaska: defend the Army Corps of Engineers’ 2020 decision to deny Pebble’s federal permit, and to use EPA authority under Section 404(c) of the Clean Water Act to restrict mining in the Bristol Bay region.

Please show your support for permanent protections for Bristol Bay by sending a quick note to the President and EPA asking them to safeguard the fish-based resources of southwest Alaska.

Powerful voice

The hunting and fishing community- brands, manufacturers, conservation organizations, and individuals from across the country- have a powerful voice. Last year, a letter signed by more than 250 outdoor sporting entities, and a petition signed by nearly 50,000 individuals was sent to President Trump, loudly pointing to science and the Clean Water Act as reasons why Pebble should be denied its key federal permit. Pebble’s permit was denied in November 2020, but until there are durable safeguards in place, Bristol Bay is still at risk. Again, the outdoor community is getting loud for Bristol Bay, and we need you to join us. Take action today.

Companies against Pebble Mine.

Our work doesn’t stop until we can be assured that Pebble- or another mining company- won’t return in the future. Together, we can make sure the people and fish of Bristol Bay have the protections they need and deserve.

Thank you for your continued support!
